Cookie Policy
Effective date: 8 October 2026
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later requests, which is how a site recognises a returning visitor or a continuing session. Similar technologies do the same job by other means: localStorage and sessionStorage keep values in the browser, IndexedDB keeps a small database, a tracking pixel reports a page view by fetching an image from someone else's server, and fingerprinting infers an identifier from your device instead of storing anything.
What we checked
- Cookies set by this site
- Not used. solidfacet.online sets no cookies of its own, for any purpose, including session, preference and security cookies.
- Cookies set by others through this site
- Not used. No third party is given the opportunity: the pages contain no advertising tag, no analytics snippet, no social button, no comment system and no embedded video or map.
- localStorage
- Not used. Nothing is written to it, so nothing survives between visits.
- sessionStorage
- Not used. Nothing is kept even while a tab stays open.
- IndexedDB
- Not used. No database is created in your browser.
- Tracking pixels
- Not used. There is no counting image, beacon or invisible iframe on any page.
- Browser fingerprinting
- Not used. We do not read device characteristics to build an identifier, and we run no script that would do so.
- Web fonts and third-party scripts
- Not used. The site uses the serif and sans-serif fonts already installed on your own computer, and the only script is a short first-party file that opens the menu on narrow screens and calls your browser's print dialog. Loading a page from this site makes no request to any other server.
- Server access logs
- Used. This is the single entry on this list that happens. Our hosting provider records each request to the site, as described below.
Why there is no banner
A consent banner exists to obtain permission for storage that is not strictly necessary. Since nothing is stored, there is nothing to ask permission for, and a banner would be untrue. We would rather publish the list above than a dialogue box implying a choice you do not need to make.
What does happen instead
Every request to a web server is logged, and ours is no exception. Our hosting provider records your IP address, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page where your browser sends one, and your browser's user-agent string. Those logs are kept for 30 days and used for security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis. They are combined with nothing else, because there is nothing else. Our Privacy Policy covers this under Australian Privacy Principles 3, 6, 8 and 11.
The checklists do not remember your ticks
The boxes beside each checklist item are drawn with a line of stylesheet, not built from form controls. Nothing records what you have completed, and the All checklists page looks identical on every visit. Saving progress would need localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB, and we use none of them. To keep track, print the page.
After you follow an affiliate link
Some pages link to the website of War Thunder. Once you select such a link you are on another company's site, and that site and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies on their own domains, typically to record that the visit came from us so a commission can be attributed. MTTrader Pro s.r.o. does not control those cookies, cannot read them and does not receive them. Their own cookie notices say what they set and for how long.
Blocking or clearing cookies in any browser
Nothing here requires it, but the controls are worth knowing. Every current browser has a privacy or content-settings section in which you can block cookies, block only third-party cookies, delete everything stored by one site, or clear all browsing data for a chosen period. Most also offer a private window that discards storage when it closes. The menus differ between browsers and change between versions, so your browser's own help pages are the accurate guide. Blocking cookies entirely breaks sites that genuinely need them, such as online banking; blocking third-party cookies rarely breaks anything.
If this ever changes
We have no plan to introduce cookies. If that changed, this page would be rewritten first, with the new effective date and a description of each cookie, its purpose and its lifetime, and a working consent mechanism would be in place before any non-essential cookie was set. We will not add storage quietly and tell you afterwards.
